Lead Functional Analyst

1. Company Description

Our client is looking for a Dutch-speaking Senior Functional Analyst for a long-term assignment within a complex IT environment.

You will join an Agile delivery team composed of developers, an architect, a test analyst, and a project manager. Development is done in Java, and all functional analyses and documentation are written in Dutch.

2. Job Description

As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in guiding stakeholders, structuring complex requirements, and ensuring functional consistency across applications and services.

You will coordinate end-to-end functional analysis activities, manage dependencies and risks, support Agile delivery, and contribute to quality assurance, testing, and documentation. This role requires strong ownership, communication skills, and the ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional analysis activities: scope definition, requirement gathering, prioritization, modeling, and stakeholder alignment
• Ensure end-to-end consistency across solutions by managing dependencies, impacts, risks, and change effects across the application landscape
• Support Agile delivery by coordinating the functional design process, coaching team members, and acting as key functional point of contact for architects and developers
• Contribute to quality assurance through documentation, test strategy definition, test coordination, and validation of results
• Promote standards, continuous improvement, and compliance with security and data protection policies across project teams

4. Profile & Competencies

Must-Have

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Functional Analyst in complex IT environments
• Strong experience working in Agile teams and supporting end-to-end delivery
• Ability to lead stakeholder alignment and decision-making in multi-stakeholder contexts
• Strong experience with functional documentation, modeling, and requirements management
• Fluent Dutch (all analysis and documentation are written in Dutch)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience working in Java development environments
• Experience with test coordination, test strategy definition, and validation
• Experience in large-scale or strategic IT programs
• Experience defining and promoting analysis standards and procedures
• Strong awareness of security, compliance, and data protection principles
