Context
In the context of a major business transformation program, we are looking for a Senior Functional Analyst to strengthen existing teams.
You will join a department of approximately 90 people, contributing to handover activities, refactoring initiatives, and greenfield development of new business applications.
The role is performed in an Agile environment and requires end-to-end involvement across project phases.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders (business and project stakeholders, team managers, and partners)
- Identifying, analysing, documenting, and validating existing business processes and new (non-)functional user requirements
- Translating business needs into solutions by producing functional analyses and application designs
- Collaborating with technical teams to validate functional designs and translate them into technical specifications
- Ensuring end-to-end follow-up of the delivery of new functionalities and/or applications
- Producing and maintaining all required documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Working closely with business analysts and developers under the supervision of project managers/coordinators
- Supporting project managers by reporting status, facilitating decisions, managing risks, and escalating when necessary
Deliverables
The Senior Functional Analyst is responsible for delivering, within agreed deadlines:
- Analysis documentation
- Software Requirements Specifications (including diagrams and detailed analyses)
- Data models
- User stories
- Test plans and test cases
Mission & Working Conditions
- Location: Brussels
- Contract: Initial contract with long-term extension potential
- Working schedule: 5 days per week (Monday to Friday)
- Remote work: Up to 3 days per week
