To strengthen the team, they are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to support database setup, administration, and large-scale migration activities in a Linux environment.

2. Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Database Administrator (Oracle / PostgreSQL) to manage and maintain database platforms in a Linux environment, with a strong focus on Oracle and PostgreSQL.

A key part of the role involves executing major Oracle migration activities, including Oracle 12c → 19c upgrades, while supporting high-availability database operations in a stability- and performance-critical context.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments on Linux
• Execute Oracle migration projects, including Oracle 12c → 19c upgrades
• Manage backup, restore, and recovery processes to ensure continuity and resilience
• Monitor database performance, resolve incidents, and drive stability improvements
• Perform large-scale migration activities using tools such as XTTS, RMAN CONVERT, and Data Pump (including on-call participation when required)

4. Profile & Competencies

Must-Have

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator in Linux environments
• Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle migrations (12c → 19c)
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL installation, administration, and maintenance
• Ability to work autonomously on complex migration activities
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
• Expertise in performance tuning and high-availability environments
• Experience with formalized backup & recovery strategies in large organizations
• Experience in analytical or data-heavy application domains

Languages

• French: Professional working proficiency
• English: Professional working proficiency
