Business Information Analyst

Our client is strengthening its Business Intelligence capabilities and investing in a modern Power BI environment, including the migration of reporting from an existing SAP BI landscape.

To support this transformation, the organization is looking for a Business Information Analyst who can bridge business needs and technical BI solutions while actively contributing to data modeling and dashboard development.

2. Job Description

As a Business Information Analyst, you act as the key link between business stakeholders and the BI domain.

You analyze reporting and insight needs, translate them into clear BI specifications, and brief Data Engineers accordingly. In addition, you take on a hands-on role in building datasets and developing complex dashboards in Power BI.

A central element of this role is contributing to the development of a new Power BI environment and supporting the migration from SAP BI to Power BI.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and translate business reporting needs into clear functional BI requirements
• Design and build dimensional data models enabling scalable, high-performance dashboards
• Develop and maintain complex reports and dashboards in Power BI
• Support the migration of reporting solutions from SAP BI to Power BI
• Ensure data accuracy, relevance, and high-quality insights while supporting Data & Reporting Analysts

4. Profile & Competencies

Must-Have

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)
• Solid background in dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and BI architecture
• Experience with SAP BI (including universe design)
• Strong SQL knowledge
• Ability to translate business processes into structured BI solutions

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with HR reporting or document management reporting
• Experience in BI migration or transformation projects
• Experience supporting end-users and analysts in dashboard adoption

Languages

• Dutch: Full professional proficiency
• English: Nice to have
