Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on Application Security Engineer who will strengthen application security across the full software development lifecycle and actively address vulnerabilities in a high-availability environment.
This is a practical, execution-focused role: you will not only analyze vulnerabilities, but also effectively remediate them at both code and configuration level, in close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
You will collaborate with:
- IT Development & Application teams
- The Infrastructure team
- The Cybersecurity team (providing a prioritized remediation backlog)
Your focus will be on application-level security, in coordination with security engineers responsible for OS-level patching and infrastructure vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of application vulnerabilities after triage (SAST / DAST / SCA, pentests, security assessments)
- Remediate vulnerabilities at code, dependency, and configuration level
- Analyze scanner results and distinguish between true and false positives
- Integrate security tooling and controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps enablement)
- Support secure code reviews, architecture reviews, and threat modeling
Profile & Competencies
Must-Have
- Strong software engineering background (able to read, analyze, and modify production code)
- Experience in application security and/or secure software development
- Good knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common application vulnerabilities
- Hands-on experience with remediation at code and configuration level
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with threat modeling
- Knowledge of cloud security
- Experience with formal vulnerability management processes
- Experience in a regulated or healthcare environment
