Our partner is looking for an Operational & Financial Auditor to join the Internal Audit department in Brussels. In this role, you will execute audits across business units, strengthen internal controls, and contribute to the long-term resilience of the organization.
Your Role
As an Operational & Financial Auditor, you will be part of a small, dynamic team reporting directly to the CEO through the Head of Internal Audit. You will execute the full audit cycle, deliver recommendations for improvement, and support risk assessments across business units.
Responsibilities
- Execute all audit phases: planning, execution, reporting.
- Ensure audit deliverables comply with Internal Audit Standards.
- Communicate audit status, issues, and findings with the Head of Internal Audit.
- Formulate audit issues and recommend process improvements.
- Deliver quality working papers and audit reports.
- Follow up on the implementation of recommendations.
Must Have
- Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Audit, or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in internal or external audit (insurance/financial sector).
- General understanding of insurance/reinsurance, corporate finance, Solvency II, and reporting.
- Knowledge of risk-based and business process-focused audit approaches.
Nice to have
- Experience in multi-cultural environments.
- Familiarity with statutory reporting requirements in insurance.
