Your Role
As a Claims Handler, you are the first point of contact for clients, intermediaries, and experts. You manage claims from start to finish, ensuring clear communication, correct administration, and timely follow-up. By combining technical knowledge with strong communication skills, you provide customers with peace of mind during challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Manage insurance claims from reporting to settlement.
- Handle files across different domains: material, bodily injury, liability, and legal protection.
- Act as a point of contact for intermediaries, customers, and experts.
- Provide clear, empathetic communication in both Dutch and French.
- Ensure accurate administration and follow-up of complex claim files.
- Prioritize tasks and remain organized, even in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Must Have
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and French (written and spoken).
- Active listening skills and empathy, you are the voice of the company.
- Legal or insurance background (Bachelor in Law, Legal Practice, or similar).
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Nice to have
- Experience as a Claims Handler in insurance.
- Affinity with legal and insurance-technical aspects of claims.
- Stress resistance and flexibility in a high-paced environment.
