Our partner, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced AML Compliance Officer (AMLCO) to strengthen its compliance environment, ensure legal integrity, and support risk awareness across operations
Your Role
As AMLCO, you will play a key role in building a strong compliance environment that promotes legal integrity and risk awareness across the organization
Operating in a second-line capacity within the independent Compliance department, you will monitor and challenge the bank’s AML performance while supporting first-line operations where needed.
You will report directly to the Executive Committee, Risk & Compliance Committee, and Board of Directors, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders. In addition to guiding the AML team and organizing their daily activities, you will work under the leadership of the Head of Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Define and update the organization’s AML policy framework
- Interpret regulatory requirements into internal AML guidelines
- Monitor AML performance and ensure effective implementation of procedures
- Conduct risk assessments (ARB/IRB) and manage AML control systems
- Perform audits and analyze AML risk indicators to drive improvements
- Design and deliver tailored AML training and awareness programs
Must Have
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision
- Proven experience in a senior AML compliance role (with management-level oversight)
- Deep understanding of AML/CFT regulatory frameworks and risk assessment (ARB/IRB) methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to draft, implement, and update AML policies consistently
Nice to have
- Professional AML/CFT certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA)
- Hands-on experience in case advisory, FIU reporting, or AML acceptance committee engagements

Ability to deliver AML training and awareness programs within an institutional
setting
